The direct road to peace: non-duality
The experience of peace, the excitement of stillness, that experience of fullness that does not depend on external circumstances and is stable "in you", is part of the experience of non-duality. Writes Eva Wodnik.
I remember a time when came home exhausted, I collapsed on the couch and I felt tired. He had wanted to "get out of my own skin". Many times I found myself reacting painfully. Many moments of anguish and tension throughout a single day. The temptation to blame circumstances or "strangers" for my discomfort was almost automatic. Only when I slept I got rest of "me". She was identified with the character, with my ego. Not in a conscious way.
The ego, in the teachings of Advaita, is the cognitive construct that feels separated from everything: the character. Many times I felt dragged by my ego, so intense and exhausting; Despite years of work with it from very different aspects...
At a certain point it is desenraizó from my experience. Now it appears sometimes as a ghost visiting me... and "I" am in peace.
And is that When the ego is uproots and ceases to have a consistent and seemingly autonomous identity, the result in the experience of living is peace.
Meaning of non-duality
The teachings of Advaita were formed by the hindu philosopher Shankaracharia (788-820), which on the basis of the writings of the Upanishads (sacred Hindu texts that deal with the nature of the universe, deity and meditation), developed the doctrine of non-duality. These teachings permeate all the Oriental philosophies and, of course, are also integrated into yogic philosophy.
But what is the term "non-duality" mean? I will try to illustrate this with a simple exercise, not simple. Our experience, which is perceived by our senses and emotions, is immediately identified and catalogued by the mind. For example, if you pinch and pain you feel your mind will say something similar to I've done damage.
In other words, consciousness realizes. This work proposes to investigate, investigate "that realizes".
The evolutionary leap that the human species are giving at this historic moment, in my view, is that of awareness: Be aware of being aware. Consciousness is that which is conscious, he knows. When 'I am' is consciousness aware of itself, then, peace is.
And is that when you come back to yourself / or open and curious, when you take this path in which you stop search for happiness in external conditions, then you are bringing this perspective to the Peace. Not I am speaking of a State temporary of peace and happiness or Ecstasy. It is an emotion of Peace outright, that moves from the background of experience to color it, to repopulate it. An emotion of peace, acceptance and fulfillment.
Experience it is not the same as understanding him or Intuit. Only when experienced, occurs with this truth consistent and consistent change.
So, this summer you suggest a 5-day retreat to explore peace in you, so you find you that both want and are looking for.
Accompany it with the Eva Klimberg deep yoga, Since working with the body and vitality opens us to the deep experience of intimate connection with our being, with the immutable in ourselves.
