Why tremble muscles by doing some positions?

Muscle tremors or fasciculations, occur frequently for positions for which it is necessary the use of force. It is very common that when performing asanas that require some muscles to contract, the lack of training of these that they manifested trembling. Writes Paul Rego.

When the muscles must contract to perform strength they receive instruction on the part of the nerves that control them. If these muscles are little trained, fibers do not work together, so while some fibers are required, others not, producing those microtremors you are annoying, as small cramps.

Common is that when starting the practice we perceive these tremors in the force posture, especially if weather is that we do not train the body or if we have dared to practice when we had never done it before, thank you style and proposals offering Yoga and q EU not found in other disciplines or training of the physical body.

Also true that, given the challenges that offers Hatha Yoga, but they come with some training, these twitches are taken for positions that require the effort of muscles that we do not usually use. With practice, most muscle groups, to the less used regularly, will be working and these tremors will disappear or decrease almost.

Positions of strength or force in the positions?

Some Yoga proposed require an attitude completely committed to the force, as the position of the Crocodile (Makarasana, in the Purna Yoga Integral, also known as the table version), the Inclined plane (Poorvottanasana) or the position of the Table (Utpithikasana or Catush Pada Pitham depending on the tradition), asanas are intense and requiring a major effort, which makes very clear body tremble completely to practice them if we lack muscle tone.

But there are other positions that create the feeling of being unable to control certain parts of the body, into tension creating these small tremors that can be uncomfortable or annoying. This occurs because for correct Assembly of certain asanas is necessary tighten only some muscle groups while others remain at rest, an art that you learn to control the practice.

Positions as Viparita Karani, in its version of legs upwards creating a ninety-degree angle with respect to the trunk that remains on the ground, or Alayasana (position of the sloth in the Purna Yoga Integral tradition), even Adho Mukha Svanasana (CARP, inverted V, the mountain or the dog depending on the tradition) are positions that require its armed force, but relaxation in some parts of the body to sustain them and relieve tension in your back, shoulders, or legs.

Fasciculations usually occur when we must put aside the use of muscles that we would usually use to keep the body in a given position and use that really asks that position, that we perhaps neglected by custom or by the lack of a tone that we have.

This type of positions us to change habits of use of the body to expand the physical resources and awareness of subtle parts we also train to release energy and achieve a better state of health. While we learn to transfer the tension of muscles to others and these are bracing pass by the location of the muscle tremors.

Other causes of twitches

As often happens in the case of cramps, also in the case of these tremors the lack of hydration You can contribute your bit. The lack of incorporation of minerals, especially we ingest through the water, producing a bad provision in muscle fibers that the required les efforts can answer half.

If we are tired or come from a State of nervous tension, producing some muscles involuntary attrition, when let to an effort depletion will not allow them to answer in full.

It may also occur that the body does not have good availability of energy. Lack of food that provide us some energy throughout the day us can lead to this type of situation, so if we start the day practicing as if we make our Yoga session at the end of the day, having eaten food several times during the day.

It is very likely that if we come to practice after a few days of work over or tiring, if we hydrate us little, if we bring tired all week and, perhaps, we have not slept enough, make the body we know with these earthquakes.

As a solution

In addition to physical training, Yoga offers tools to liberate us from situations of excessive tension through the management of thoughts and emotions. Using these resources can help us to reduce the physical stress which can lead us to perceive these small and annoying temblorcitos.

As we move forward in practice also will develop awareness of the importance of a good diet that includes the consumption of necessary trace elements for our body perform metabolic tasks properly, which brings as a consequence a good reserve of salts that will reduce excessive wear of the same.

The practice of meditation, the work of the deep relaxation and understanding the importance of releasing the mind and body open us the doors to the consciousness of the need for rest.

The body responds to the energy, emotions. The practice of Hatha Yoga will always help us to become aware of the more subtle dimensions of the being. Use the tools that the practice is giving us every day to improve in all aspects from a holistic point of view, is a path that includes a broad learning that will make us feel better every time in our physical body.
