The meaning of Yoga / and 5
Do we know where we want to go and where can lead us yoga when we aim to practice it? We are in fourth place with dvesha, precisely the opposite of rāga: an irrational aversion to painful or traumatic experiences that we do not want to see or in paint. We unconsciously avoid situations where we feel threatened or vulnerable situations facing us with another or where we can lose our excessive control. We avoid situations which at the time were painful but which are today only ghosts of an unresolved past. We will limited and limiting to accept live at the edge of the non-existence.
Finally, abhinivesha It has to do with the fear that has been installed in all corners of our being. We are afraid to lose our stability, fear that things will change, fear of growing old, getting sick, to be marginalized, let your partner who does not love and our job unbearable. Everything but fear, especially fear of dying. We are afraid to live intensely because so much intensity requires us to assume a risk that betrays our fidelity to the comfort and safety. We live at half-throttle looking elsewhere when die the others, as if it were something that does not go with us, as if secretly we had in the glove box a life insurance to overcome death, or at least to postpone it.
Yoga talks about all this because Yoga is a response to the suffering. Dukha It is suffering, it is a living, a restriction to life, a limitation of our potential. This restriction is the result of that ignorance towards life, excessive identification with our selves, and their bias towards pleasure or escape pain. Dukha is above all fear, an emotional addition to the inherent fact of life. Cross it can be as simple as accepting that there is day and night, hits and errors, encounters and disencounters, pleasures and pains, as simple as accepting that we are born a day and that one day we have to die.
Yoga tells us that there is an exit to the psychological suffering and that, if we are able to disable the automatic mechanism that is activated in emotionally charged situations, we can free ourselves from that heavy wheel that crushes us.
Moksha is that liberation which is in the needle pointing north of Yoga. Extinguish the fire of desire, rid ourselves of our conditioning, remove ourselves of the frenetic activity of the mind to achieve peace.
Almost have to apologize for having needed so many words to define Yoga, but many faces has a mountain and can hardly draw all sides on a flat drawing on paper. It is necessary to understand that Yoga is like a land with many layers and many sediments, and analysis we need an in-depth study.
