Becomes 'Walk with me', a film about the master Thich Nhat Hanh

Directed by Marc J. Francis and Max Pugh, Walk with me offers us a journey into the origins of the mindfulness through the teachings of Buddhist zen master Thich Nhat Hanh.

Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, activist Thich Nhat Hanh is known worldwide for having introduced to the West the technique and the art of the mindfulness or full consciousness and it is considered one of the most influential spiritual leaders of today. His message through the mindfulness practice is to learn to have a full and happy life, being aware of the time present, the only way to achieve true peace both inside oneself and the world. Thich Nhat Hanh has been a pioneer in bringing Buddhism to Europe where he founded monasteries, centers of practice and has published more than 100 books.

On the occasion of the premiere of the film in Spain, and coinciding with the celebration of the international day of the Mindfulness which is held on Tuesday, September 12, It has been organized a meditation in silence through the streets of Madrid. It will be guided by two monks from the French community of Plum Village where part of the movie was shot.

Where: Madrid Santander park at 17:30 hours to start the meditation at 17:45 and finish an hour later in the Plaza de Quevedo.


What are the mindfulness the benefits of? How we help in our daily life? Why are the companies introducing this practice among employees? Walk with me enters the Buddhist community of Plum Village, France, in which its members renounce their belongings with a common purpose: transforming suffering and put into practice the art of the mindfulness of Thich Nhat Hanh and tutored master zen and activist world famous peace.

The film is a meditation on the communion with the existential questions and the search for a deeper connection with oneself and the world. The beautiful images filmed over three years and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, narrated by the singular voice of the actor Benedict Cumberbatch (main character's) The Imitation Game and Sherlock), make this documentary a work record.
