Traditional study of the book of the practical ´Sādhana Pāda´ of the Yoga Sutras

Starts the weekend of March 6 the traditional study of book 2 of the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, Sādhana Pāda 'the book of practice', with the main classic commentary, Vyāsa, Vāchaspati Miśhra, Hariharānanda Āraṇya and others. Transmitted by the traditional master David Rodrigo (Āchārya Jijnāsu) in Yoga Shala Alcobendas, Madrid and with option to distance.

Classes are given a weekend a month until completing the text, transmitting their knowledge and practice from the oral tradition.

The second book of the Yoga Sutras Patanjali -the fundamental text of the classic yoga - is for the vast majority of practitioners who want to concentrate your mind on being ´sādhakas´ (samādhi) but naturally have distractions and obstacles. These are due to the dispersion in performance ´vṛitti´ of the mind and its mental impressions ´saṁskāras´. These are progressively transforming itself and allowing the lighting one's own being through the continued practice of the eight steps of yoga: ´aṣhṭāṅga yoga´, found in this Book 2 of the Yoga Sutras and first sutras of the third: yamas (ethics), niyama (discipline), āsana (physical position), pranayama (breathing exercises), pratyāhāra (replicate the senses of perception), dhāraṇa (mental concentration), dhyāna (meditation) and samādhi (shine with the light of being) (29 sūtra).

Book 2 of Patanjali aims to eliminate the causes of root of pain (kleśhas): ´avidyā´, ´asmitā´, ´rāga´ desire, ego ignorance hate ´dveṣa´ and fear of death ´abhiniveśa´ (3 sūtra). For this purpose it is necessary to know them well, its operation, effects, cause and the available method for its definite and immediate eradication by oneself.

The cause of suffering that should be eliminated is the union of who sees (own being) and what is seen (from the ego and mind) to external objects (sū. 17). The method of elimination of suffering is constant lighting of the differentiation between who sees and the instrument see objects, i.e., the true be (pure consciousness that shines by itself) and the intellect or mind (sū. 26). The following sutras and classical comments transmitted traditionally by a competent teacher reveal the step by step method.
So practicing the eight steps of yoga ´aṣhṭāṅga yoga´ va achieving progressively to eliminate impurities from the own mind and illuminate the knowledge to lighting that differentiates self who sees and the instrument to see (sū. 28).
