We are basically respirantes beings. At birth we had the first inhalation, as die we will have latest exhalation. The first weeks of our life we were breathing without concepts or ideas, just breathing. For something the more ancient sages of the India and China insisted that the first thing that should teach us is to breathe properly. Breathing is such close ties with the mind that the Yogis from yesteryear have told us that the mind is the rider and breathing the horse.
Breathing is a bridge between the individual energy and the cosmic, a hinge between the body and the psychic apparatus, a loop between the conscious and the unconscious. Since time immemorial the breathing has been considered on Oriental techniques of self-realization a precious tool to promote body, sort the energies and stabilize the mind. The breath becomes a valiosa Allied towards the unification of consciousness and control of emotions. If on the one hand breathing is the primary source of energy, on the other hand it is a means to pacify the emotions, integrate the psyche and widen the understanding. Whenever we are attentive to the respiration, connect with immediate reality, cultivate pure mental care, we focus on ourselves and prevent agitation.

While I was preparing this report, I get a video that my good friend and faithful student Quique Fidalgo has sent to me and that I share with you. Breathing is a path to the most core of ourselves. Any person, any be your age can benefit by consciously connecting with the breath. I have begun to write a book for the Kailas editorial which is titled You breathe! Breath breathe by us, but is a function that we can make conscious and always have as a good friend you trust.
More than 50 years has been Calle Ramiro teaching yoga. He began teaching at home and created an Academy of yoga correspondence for all Spain and Latin America. In January of l971 opened its Yoga Center Shadak, that have already passed more than half a million people. His 250 published works include more than fifty devoted to yoga and related disciplines.
