You breathe!

We are basically respirantes beings. At birth we had the first inhalation, as die we will have latest exhalation. The first weeks of our life we were breathing without concepts or ideas, just breathing. Breathing framed our whole life and is a function that is repeated 15-20 times per minute, i.e. million times over a lifetime. Calle Ramiro writes.

Take a breath

For something the more ancient sages of the India and China insisted that the first thing that should teach us is to breathe properly. Breathing is such close ties with the mind that the Yogis from yesteryear have told us that the mind is the rider and breathing the horse.

Breathing is a bridge between the individual energy and the cosmic, a hinge between the body and the psychic apparatus, a loop between the conscious and the unconscious. Since time immemorial the breathing has been considered on Oriental techniques of self-realization a precious tool to promote body, sort the energies and stabilize the mind. The breath becomes a valiosa Allied towards the unification of consciousness and control of emotions. If on the one hand breathing is the primary source of energy, on the other hand it is a means to pacify the emotions, integrate the psyche and widen the understanding. Whenever we are attentive to the respiration, connect with immediate reality, cultivate pure mental care, we focus on ourselves and prevent agitation.

El yoga es todo él experiencial, Nothing left to chance and all their techniques have been experienced over and over again. Through tireless inquiry about themselves, the Yogis discovered the close interrelation between mind and breathing, and vice versa. Realized that to every State of mind is a specific form of breathing. We do not breathe as well when we are tense or relaxed, restless or restful, concentrated or dispersed. If you have anxiety, respiration of dialed or is panting; If we receive a scare, respiration is inhibited a few moments.

When this proved it the first Yogis, realized that if any mental or emotional state causes a certain type of breathing, a specific way of breathing also, conversely, would create certain States of mind. A uniform and calm respiration silk nervous, pacifica emotions and warns against anxiety and stress. In any moment of our lives that we tend to shake us, we can deepen and slow breathing and thus harmonize ourselves psicosomaticamente. The best medication is always with us.

In yoga we use breathing both as a technique of purification and control psychosomatic as of object for the cultivation and training of mental attention and channelling the energies of mind. In hatha yoga with the respiratory control techniques I call pranayama and in the radja-yoga or yoga mental of numerous exercises of meditation using the breath as an object of concentration.

While I was preparing this report, I get a video that my good friend and faithful student Quique Fidalgo has sent to me and that I share with you. Breathing is a path to the most core of ourselves. Any person, any be your age can benefit by consciously connecting with the breath. I have begun to write a book for the Kailas editorial which is titled You breathe! Breath breathe by us, but is a function that we can make conscious and always have as a good friend you trust.
