Mudras: Dhyani Mudra

The Dhyana Mudra is the mudra of meditation, concentration and the attainment of spiritual perfection. He is usually prescribed to students to increase the ability to focus, as an exercise of concentration. Indicates the perfect balance between thinking and the rest of the senses, and tranquility.

Both hands resting on the lap adopting the form of bowls: the right hand above left while the thumbs touching. Hands and arms form a closed circle of power, which also corresponds with the position of the legs in the sitting meditation posture.

This is the classic posture for meditation and we adopted it when we meditate without a specific objective. Sitting, watching the breath no more, we are passive and allow the divine Act in us and for us. I know that God wants only the best for me and that if I allow it, will help me at all times and in all places. «Your will be done' is an expression of deep joy.

The two hands, which form a bowl, reveal that own inside is free, clean and vacuum to receive as necessary on the spiritual path. And as there is no empty space in the universe (everything seems to us to be 'empty' is full of subtle matter energy), this vacuum will be filled with new energy; our thoughts and emotions will determine the quality. That is why it is so important that before it has done a good job of reconciliation and live in peace with all.

You can also compare to being in silence with our best friend or friend. Needless to say, there is no desire, because we know that he is has already said everything there was to say. The union feels and that's enough.

In classical meditation, to practice this mudra is «think» vacuum, i.e., not thinking of anything. Given his difficulty, there is a second version: focuses the attention to your own breath, all the senses are focused on breathing. This is more feasible, although it can be difficult if your thoughts deviate too often breath or even notes a tendency to negative thinking.
